“Kristen Stewart to teach queer studies course at Vassar this fall”

Actress Kristen Stewart will be a visiting lecturer for a new special course at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie this fall, according to a story from the college’s student newspaper.

The course is entitled “WFQS 232, 'Where Have You Been Loca?: Investigating Queer Visibility and Transgression in the Post-Twilight Age’” is rumored to take place during the Fall 2024 semester. The course is reportedly being capped at 20 students.

According to the Miscellany News, Vassar’s student newspaper: “Whispers of Stewart’s potential collaborations with Vassar first began when she was spotted smoking a cigarette on the Town House path last week. Her new bangs, styled as though she cut them in a Raymond House bathroom, septum ring and tote bag gave her the appearance of a Vassar student.”

The course will feature weekly screenings of Stewart’s work, including the Twilight franchise. Additional guest lecturers for the course also include Charli XCX, the English pop singer/songwriter.

The course, though, is not actually happening. The news of Stewart’s stewardship at the school, and the class itself, was an April Fool’s Day story from the Vassar student newspaper.
